OrbusVR Completes Closed Alpha Testing, Hosts Open Alpha July 28th
Overland Park, Kan. – July 21, 2017 – Ad Alternum Game Studios announced today that their VR MMORPG, OrbusVR, has completed Closed Alpha testing. An Open Alpha test will be held beginning July 28th, 2017 at 12 PM (Noon) US Central Time, and lasting for 60 hours.
“We’ve had tremendous participation and enthusiasm from the VR community during our Closed Alpha testing period, and we’ve made some great strides in adding new features and improvements to the game,” said Riley Dutton, Lead Developer. “We’ve been hard at work getting things ready for everyone who’s interested in the game to check it out, and we can’t wait to see so many new faces in-game.”
More than 450 players participated in the Closed Alpha test, playing more than 3,000 hours during the limited testing period. During the Closed Alpha period, players were able to watch game development unfold via bi-weekly tests which showcased new features being added to the game, including new areas to explore, story quests, two five-player dungeons, and the Alchemy and Fishing professions.
Community participation has also been very high during the Alpha period, with thousands of pieces of feedback submitted via the Community Forums. “Our communty’s passion for the game has been amazing, and we know that everyone who joins us for the Open Alpha test will find a welcoming group of players eager to help them experience the best the game has to offer,” said Dutton.
During the previous Closed Alpha test, only those who backed the game during the Kickstarter campaign, or pre-ordered the game on the official website, were able to participate. The Open Alpha, however, is available to anyone who registers a free account on the OrbusVR website. More details are available on the OrbusVR blog, under the Join Us for Open Alpha posting.
